Comportamiento resiliente de suelos fino granulares

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se determinó el módulo resiliente para dos tipos de suelos (CL y MH), útiles como materiales de subrasante. Se ensayaron muestras en estado natural y compactadas, a las cuales se les varió el estado de humedad con el fin de determinar la variabilidad del módulo resiliente y la deformación bajo cargas cíclicas, impartidas por un pistón servo controlado de un equipo triaxial cíclico. Se aplicó la metodología de ensayo prevista en la norma del Instituto de Vías INV E 156 y en ocasiones se trabajó con esfuerzos de confi namiento de cero para conocer la respuesta del suelo en un estado crítico. Se realizaron también ensayos para determinar las propiedades físicas y mecánicas estáticas. En estas últimas se verifi có lo colapsable del suelo, haciendo un ensayo de compresión simple en estado de humedad natural y otro con la muestra saturada, encontrando que en el suelo limoso en estado saturado, la resistencia a la compresión fue 10 veces menor. En cuanto al módulo resiliente, se observó que el suelo limoso presenta un alto módulo resiliente y el suelo arcilloso un intervalo más amplio de dicho valor, pero en ambos casos se presenta una buena calidad del material como uso de subrasante, sea en estado natural o compactado, con humedad natural o saturado al 100%.
