Desempleo y salarios rígidos : un modelo DSGE para el caso colombiano

Abstract

Este trabajo busca analizar el comportamiento del mercado laboral colombiano ante choques exógenos de productividad y comercio exterior, en presencia de salarios rígidos y dos sectores productivos: formal e informal. Se encontró que en los modelos que se incorporan rigideces de salarios, la recuperación es mucho más lenta. Caracterizar el modelo con un sector productivo informal es apropiado para entender el comportamiento de la economía colombiana, ya que esta condición es consistente con la realidad del mercado laboral. La informalidad, ante un choque negativo, inicialmente suaviza los efectos, pero en el largo plazo estos se profundizan. Se evidencia que los hogares colombianos ven en el sector informal, un recurso para enfrentar el desempleo ante bajos desempeños de la economía.
