Análisis de terrazas marinas asociadas a cambios del nivel del mar en las ensenadas Brava y Macuaca, Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona

Abstract

El siguiente documento corresponde al estudio de las terrazas marinas en playa Macuaca y playa Brava en el Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona (PNNT) con el fin de asociarlas a cambios del nivel del mar -- A partir de la caracterización de terrazas marinas emergidas y sumergidas mediante levantamiento batimétrico y análisis estratigráfico (haciendo una descripción de su altura y sedimentología), se estimaron las edades de las terrazas y se asociaron a cambios con el nivel del mar -- Las terrazas marinas sumergidas se documentaron con ecosonda y las emergidas fueron medidas en campo tomando como base o punto 0, el nivel del mar actual -- Los resultados de las terrazas fueron comparados con diferentes curvas propuestas por autores con respecto a cambios del nivel relativo del mar en el Holoceno y Pleistoceno para así establecer sus edades y el origen de las mismas -- Como conclusión se obtiene que, en el Caribe Colombiano, sí se encuentran evidencias de cambios del nivel relativo del mar a escala global y cambios tectónicos sufridos por la zona, confirmando lo propuesto por diferentes autores
