El presente documento tiene como finalidad brindarle al inversionista un documento sencillo y amigable que le permita identificar su perfil de riesgo, conocer los fondos de inversión colectiva, y con base en éstos inferir en que fondo podría realizar una inversión -- Inicialmente, se presenta el concepto perfil de riesgo, teniendo en cuenta múltiples variables de análisis como son la edad, objetivo de inversión, tolerancia a pérdidas de capital, entre otros -- Posteriormente, se presentan conceptos y principales características de los Fondos de Inversión Colectiva (FIC), realizando énfasis en sus fortalezas, debilidades y potenciales beneficios -- Así mismo, se enseñan algunas medidas de desempeño para fondos de inversión, con el objetivo de que el lector las conozca, y entienda el cómo éstas le permiten identificar cual presenta un mejor desempeño con base en un análisis retorno – riesgo -- Como resultado del presente documento y con el propósito de entregar instrumentos útiles, se construirá una herramienta que le permitirán al inversionista conocer la mejor opción de inversión de un grupo de FIC’s que defina el inversionista y que sean coherentes a su perfil de riesgo

The purpose of this project is to provide the investors a simple and friendly document that allows them to identify their risk profile, know the collective investment funds, and based on these infer in what fund could make an investment -- Initially, the concept of risk profile is presented, taking into account multiple analysis variables such as age, investment objective, tolerance to capital losses, among others -- Then, concepts and main characteristics of the Collective Investment Funds (FIC) are presented, emphasizing their strengths, weaknesses and potential benefits -- However, this paper presented some performance measures for investment funds, with the objective that the reader knows them, and understands how they allow them to identify which presents a better performance based on a return - risk analysis -- As a result of this document and with the purpose of providing useful tools, a tool will be built that will allow the investor to know the best investment option of a group of FICs defined and consistent with their risk profile
