Transportes Popayán S. A. es una empresa dedicada al transporte intermunicipal de pasajeros por carretera, con dos actividades secundarias como el suministro de combustible y la venta de partes y accesorios para vehículos -- Actualmente opera en trece lugares de Colombia distribuidos así, once despachos en los diferentes municipios del departamento del Cauca, un despacho en Cali-Valle y un despacho en La Unión Nariño -- Teniendo en cuenta la liquidez de la empresa y el posicionamiento en el mercado, por ser la organización con mayor trayectoria con 75 años de funcionamiento, se ha convertido en una gran opción en el momento de invertir en cuanto a transporte se refiere -- El objetivo de este trabajo es poder brindar a los gerentes y asociados soportes financieros para la toma de decisiones encaminadas a la generación de valor -- Para alcanzar este objetivo se evalúa el sector transporte y se analiza la información financiera y contable de la empresa en un período de tiempo de cinco años desde 2012 al 2016 -- Con base en esta información se proyectan los estados financieros a diez años y se estima el valor de la empresa con la aplicación del método de Flujo de Caja Libre, en busca del valor y de la capacidad que tiene de crear beneficios futuros para los asociados -- Este resultado es indispensable para establecer las técnicas y procedimientos que se deben llevar a cabo para la creación de valor, buscando maximizar la rentabilidad de las inversiones de los asociados en el tiempo

The company of Transports Popayán S. A., is a company dedicated to the intermunicipal transport of passengers by highway, with two secondary activities as they are the supply of fuel and the sale of parts and accessories for vehicles -- Currently operates in thirteen places in Colombia distributed as well, eleven offices in the different municipalities of the department of Cauca, one office in Cali-Valle and one office in La Union Nariño -- Taking into account the liquidity of the company and the positioning in the market, being the organization with the longest trajectory with 75 years of operation, it has become a great option at the moment of investing as far as transport is concerned -- The objective of this work is to provide Managers and Associates financial support for decision making aimed at the generation of value -- To achieve this objective, the Transportation sector is evaluated and the Company's financial and accounting information was analyzed over a period of 5 years from 2.012 to 2.016 -- Based on this information, the financial statements are projected for 10 years and the value of the company is estimated with the application of the Free Cash Flow method, in search of the value and the ability to create future benefits for the Associates -- This result is essential to establish the techniques and procedures that must be carried out for the creation of value, seeking to maximize the profitability of the associates' investments over time
