Abstract

A melhoria do desempenho é um dos principais objetivos de todas as organizações. Para atingi-lo, de um modo sustentável, estas têm que possuir a capacidade de medir e avaliar a sua performance. De forma a adquirirem esta capacidade, as empresas têm de definir e implementar um conjunto de indicadores que se adeque à realidade onde estão inseridas e aos seus propósitos. O presente trabalho pretende expor o conhecimento necessário para compreender as diversas dimensões da avaliação do desempenho, principalmente as relacionadas com a performance de armazéns, bem como apresentar um caso prático, onde são descrito todas as fases da implementação de um projeto desta natureza numa empresa.

The performance improvement is one of the main goals of all organizations. To achieve it, in a sustainable manner, they must possess the ability to measure and evaluate their performance. In order to acquire this ability, companies must define and implement a set of indicators that suit the reality in which they operate and their purposes. The present work intends to expose the knowledge necessary to understand the several dimensions of performance evaluation, mainly those related to the warehouses’ performance, as well as present a practical case, where are described all the phases of implementation of a project of this nature in a company.
