This study aimed to develop a fundamental mechanism to convert the energy of ocean waves into usable energy for the people. In the first phase of work was a study of physical phenomena that are the source of the waves, their behaviour during their propagation and forms of interaction with other bodies. Then an analysis was made to the systems available of wave energy conversion, thus allowing assess the strengths of these systems and their limitations. Finally went to the design and modelling of a prototype to think about maximizing energy extracted from the waves.
