Estabilização temporária de areias por congelamento

Abstract

In the construction market exists a huge variety of soils stabilization techniques . With this document we intend to explore the knowledge about the technique of freezing soils. Initially, is made a presentation on how the technique works and their characteristics. Then are carried out laboratory tests, that consists on the freezing of water and sand on which results are compared with the ones done with use of theorical models, solved by a software called TEMP/W ©. Finally is made a discussion about the economic importance of this technique, taking into account the costs involved on the process of freezing sand.
