The experience in the school of a participated culture between parents and professors depends, to a large extent, of the relation that these protagonists unchain and that if she becomes determinative for the efficient development of the pupil. The present work nominated to the level of 1º Cycle, approaches problematic of the relation between the school and the family, having as intention to study the relations that in the school if establish between parents and professors and mainly to verify the envolvement of the parents in the pertaining to school process of its children. If intends also in this way, to verify of that it forms the social-economic statute and home environment (agricultural or urban) where inhabit the intervening ones, if it relates with the changeable parental envolvement in the educative process. With this intention, opinions in six schools of 1º CEB of Concelho of Aveiro had been collected, through directed questionnaires the parents and professors, being three situated in agricultural way and others three in urban way, being used for analysis given collected them, the program SPSS, to still categorize the open answers and two scales of Warner, one for the Evaluation it Social- Economic Statute and another one for the Avaluation it Level of Instruction the Parents. The described results in the last part, in a general way, enhance the importance and the necessity of the dialogue between the partners, form to infer change of attitudes and practices, imposing in this perspective the regularization of the communication and an appositive greater in the formation of the professors in the area of the parental envolvement.

A vivência na escola de uma cultura participativa entre pais/encarregados de educação e professores depende, em grande parte, da relação que estes protagonistas desencadeiam e que se torna determinante para o eficaz desenvolvimento do aluno. O presente trabalho aborda a problemática da relação entre a escola e a família, nomeadamente ao nível do 1º Ciclo, tendo como objectivo estudar as relações que na escola se estabelecem entre pais e professores e principalmente verificar o envolvimento dos pais no processo escolar dos seus filhos. Pretende-se também deste modo, verificar de que forma o estatuto sócioeconómico e o meio local (rural ou urbano) onde habitam os intervenientes, se relaciona com a variável envolvimento parental no processo educativo. Com este propósito, foram recolhidas opiniões em seis escolas do 1º CEB do Concelho de Aveiro, através de questionários dirigidos a pais e professores, estando três situadas em meio rural e outras três em meio urbano, tendo-se utilizado para análise dos dados recolhidos, o programa SPSS, a categorização de respostas abertas e ainda duas escalas de Warner, uma para a Avaliação do Estatuto Sócio-Económico e outra para a Avaliação do Nível de Instrução dos Encarregados de Educação. Os resultados descritos na última parte, de um modo geral, realçam a importância e a necessidade do diálogo entre os parceiros, de forma a inferir mudança de atitudes e práticas, impondo-se nesta perspectiva a regularização da comunicação e uma maior aposta na formação dos professores na área do envolvimento parental.
