Modelos preditivos em saúde mental: abordagens frequencistas e bayesianas em estudos observacionais transversais e longitudinais

Abstract

The current report presents the work undertaken at the MSc in Medical Statistics placement, carried out at ICNAS (University of Coimbra). The main goals included additional and complementary statistical analyses for two different studies: 1) a PhD research addressing factors of anxiety and stress in a sample of Portuguese adults, during the SARS-COV-2 pandemic; 2) the longitudinal study of factors of diagnostic conversion, from mild cognitive impairment to Alzheimer Disease, using a large international data repository (ADNI). My work at ICNAS was planned to contribute to the development of the ICNAS ongoing research, with the use of appropriate advanced statistical methods. These activities allowed me to put in practice different statistical methods and procedures previously addressed at the first year of this MSc, particularly advanced R programming, machine learning based models and Bayesian estimation.
