Abstract

The moving image as a form of artistic expression is substantial. Thinking about how to harness the technological, communicational and aesthetic potential of the medium itself, the production of the artists or their implications in the creative process is a challenge for the art education. This research report sets out the approach of students to creative contexts of contemporary art as foundation and has the intention to understand, as strategy for reflection and action in schools, the use of resources of moving image. Being a field of analysis, around the visual arts, and their relationship to knowledge, technology and art, we intent to influence expressive and creative explorations of the students, using the animation and the video as strategies. Through action - research based on the interpenetration of conceptual and procedural axes - Production - Creating, Fruition - Contemplation and Reflection – Interpretation - is intended to determine which is the contribution of moving image resources for the development of visual literacy and what contributions can bring to the development of strategies for teaching and learning.
