Abstract

The present paper proposes a new approach to graph theory through the lens of a mathematics teacher at the non-higher education level. Throughout this work, an approach to the basic concepts of graph theory is developed, resorting to easily understandable school-related examples. The chosen examples attempt to bridge theory and its application to problems that can be presented to students within compulsory education, in order to stimulate and develop their rational and mathematical thinking.
