Otimização do sistema de armazenamento

Abstract

This project took place at Fundiven SA, in the logistic department, with the objective of optimize the processes and activities in the dispatch process of the warehouse. The logistics chain in the organizations comprises activities like as receiving, order processing, shipping materials, managing stocks, internal distribution in the factory, transportation and warehousing. The biggest challenge is to respond effectively and efficiently to customer needs, in an increasingly competitive market. The warehousing is a fundamental process in delivery value to the customer, therefore the correct definition and implementation of a storage system, can generate benefits to the company, which comes from cost reduction, to warehouse space optimization, service improvement and productivity increases. Thus, the objective of this work is restructure the storage management system, using Lean methodologies, 5S and visual management, which aims the improvement of material handling, the organization at the work environment, to promote a change in behaviour within the organization and optimize employee performance. In fact, the goal is to manage the warehouse space efficiently, to avoid a series of undesirable events like, order mistakes, shortages of materials (i.e.: consumables and packaging) and to reduce the waste in time, transport and movement.

Este projeto foi realizado na Fundiven SA, na área da logística, com o objetivo fundamental de otimizar os processos e atividades no armazém da expedição. A cadeia logística nas organizações compreende atividades como o processamento de encomendas, a receção e expedição de materiais, stocks, a distribuição interna na fábrica, transportes e armazenamento. O grande desafio passa por dar uma resposta eficaz e eficiente às necessidades e exigências do cliente, num mercado cada vez mais competitivo. O armazenamento é um processo fundamental na entrega de valor ao cliente, por isso uma correta definição e implementação de um sistema de armazenamento pode gerar benefícios para a empresa, desde redução de custos, otimização do espaço de armazém, melhoria dos serviços e aumentos na produtividade. Assim o objetivo deste trabalho é a reestruturação do sistema de armazenamento, com o auxílio das metodologias Lean, 5S e gestão visual, que vise melhorar o manuseamento de materiais, organizar o ambiente de trabalho, promover hábitos de mudança e otimizar o desempenho dos colaboradores. Com isto pretende-se melhorar a gestão de espaço, evitar erros nas encomendas, faltas de materiais como consumíveis, embalagens e diminuir desperdícios de tempo, transportes e movimentações.
