This dissertation starts out from a real practical objective: to produce material, in Portuguese, to support classes in Chirality. The translation and the validated bilingual glossary, which is the product of the cooperation between the Department of Languages and Cultures and the Chemistry Department, will serve as additional material and support for the Q4 Laboratory classes included in the chemistry first cycle programme. It also includes a discussion of the translation issues that emerged during the translation process and a conceptual analysis of the key terms that form part of the glossary
Este trabalho nasce de um projeto com um objetivo real prático: produzir material, em língua portuguesa, para apoiar aulas sobre Quiralidade. A tradução e o glossário bilingue didático, que resultaram da cooperação entre o Departamento de Línguas e o Departamento de Química, servirão de material suplementar e apoio às aulas de Laboratório Q4 inserida no programa de licenciatura em Química. Inclui-se ainda uma reflexão sobre as questões tradutológicas que surgiram no decurso do processo tradutivo e uma análise conceptual dos termos-chave inseridos no glossário
