Na procura contínua de atender às exigências de um mercado cada vez mais competitivo, as empresas procuram diminuir as suas perdas ao máximo, reduzindo os custos de produção e aumentando a sua e ciência. Neste seguimento, a empresa Motomig soldadura propôs o estudo dos fenómenos ocorrentes no seu processo de fabrico e a idealização de pontos de melhoria. O estudo utilizou bibliogra a documental, formulação de teorias e elaboração de testes na linha de produção e no laboratório, de onde se retiraram as conclusões para a viabilidade das suas implementações. As novas implementações, passaram pelo uso de eiras de maior resistência ao desgaste, aumento da quantidade de material produzido, através de um ligeiro aumento no diâmetro nal da última eira e um aumento do número de passos, de forma a reduzir a variação de temperatura entre os passos. No nal do período de estágio, o principal objetivo que motivou aquando me propus, o acompanhamento, participação e a vivência do dia a dia numa instalação fabril, foi cumprido, tendo representado o meu primeiro contacto com o mundo da indústria.

In the continuous aim to meet the demands of an increasingly competitive market, companies are looking to minimize their losses as much as possible, reducing production costs and improving their e ciency. In this sequence, the company Motomig soldadura proposed the study of the phenomena occurring in its manufacturing process and the idealization of improvement points. The study, used theories' formulation and elaboration of tests in the production line and in the laboratory from which the conclusions for the viability of its implementations were withdrawn. The new implementations, passed through the use of dies with greater resistance to wear, increase in the amount of material produced, through a slight increase in the diameter of the nal die and an increment in the number of passes in order to reduce the temperature's oscillation between the passes. At the end of the internship period, the main objective that motivated me when I joined was accomplished, that was participating and living day-to-day in a factory, being that my rst contact with the industry world.
