Abstract

O presente projeto de investigação focaliza nos currículos desenvolvidos numa creche e num jardim-de-infância frequentados por crianças em acolhimento institucional. Baseado em quatro estudos de caso, teve como objetivo analisar o modo como as crianças experienciavam o currículo, avaliando as variáveis processuais Bem-Estar Emocional (BEE) e Implicação (I). Numa metodologia de investigação-ação, para cada uma das atividades vivenciadas pelas crianças envolvidas no estudo, procedemos à avaliação do BEE e I em duas fases de observação e intervenção. Os resultados revelaram diferenças entre os dois conjuntos de dados, com níveis de BEE e I mais elevados no segundo momento, sugerindo um impacto positivo das iniciativas e ações desenvolvidas em resposta às necessidades e interesses das crianças.

This research project focuses on the curricula developed in a day care and a kindergarten attended by children living in institutional care. Based on four case studies, this study aimed to analyze how children were experiencing the curriculum, through the evaluation of process variables: Emotional Well-being (EWB) and Involvement (I). In an action-research methodology, for each of the activities experienced by children involved in the study, we performed a review of EWB and I in two steps of observation and intervention. The results revealed differences between each set of data, with higher levels of EWB and I at the second moment, suggesting a positive impact of the performed initiatives and actions, developed in response to the identified needs and interests of the children.
