Hipertrofia ventricular direita pelo eletrocardiograma e ecocardiograma

Abstract

This study aimed to study the electrocardiographic parameters present in the Right Ventricular Hypertrophy (RVH). In order to understand if these parameters were good predictors, we used echocardiographic technique to confirm the diagnosis of RVH. The sample consists of a control group (without RVH) of 12 individuals and a group of 12 patients (with RVH). The inter-operator variability in echocardiographic measurements was studied to ensure the greatest possible reliability level. However, the study revealed that the electrocardiographic parameters used for the diagnosis of RVH are not good predictors, being necessary the study by echocardiography to confirm.
