O perfil do visitante do Portugal dos Pequenitos

Abstract

O principal objetivo deste projeto é analisar o perfil dos visitantes do Portugal dos Pequenitos, utilizando variáveis demográficas e comportamentais, contribuindo, desta forma, para um melhor conhecimento das características dos visitantes deste parque temático. De forma a alcançar os objetivos traçados, foi realizada uma revisão da literatura no que concerne aos parques temáticos, e sobre os visitantes deste tipo de atração. Posteriormente foi aplicado um inquérito por questionário junto dos visitantes do Portugal dos Pequenitos, durante alguns feriados, e ao longo da semana e fins de semana, de abril até agosto de 2013. Os resultados obtidos com o estudo realizado permitiram identificar o perfil dos visitantes do Portugal dos Pequenitos. Uma grande parte dos visitantes inquiridos obtém o bilhete Adulto/Jovem (idades entre os 14 e os 64 anos), é do género feminino, residente em Portugal, da região do Grande Porto, com habilitações literárias ao nível do ensino superior, empregado e com profissão de especialidade intelectual. Com base nos atributos da avaliação do parque, foi possível ainda segmentar o mercado e identificar dois segmentos. Finalmente, considera-se que os resultados obtidos poderão dar novas orientações aos gestores deste tipo de atrações, para que possam disponibilizar uma oferta que poderá ir mais ao encontro das motivações dos visitantes e construir políticas de marketing adequadas a cada segmento de mercado.

The main objective of this project is to analyze the profile of the visitors of Portugal dos Pequenitos using demographic and behavioral variables, contributing to a better understanding of the characteristics of the visitors of this theme park. In order to achieve the established goals, a literature review was performed about theme parks, and the visitors of this type of attraction. Later, we used a questionnaire survey among visitors of Portugal dos Pequenitos during some holidays and throughout the week and weekends from April to August 2013. The results obtained from the study allowed to identify the profile of the visitors of Portugal dos Pequenitos. The majority of the visitor of this theme park acquires the type of ticket Adult / Youth (ages 14 to 64 years),residing in Portugal, the region of Grande Porto, with literary at the higher education level, employee qualifications and intellectual skill profession. Based on the attributes’ evaluation of this theme park, it was still possible to segment the market and identify two segments. Finally, it is considered that the results obtained may give new guidance for managers of this kind of attraction, so they can provide an offer that will get to the meeting with the motivations of the visitors and build appropriate marketing policies of each market segment.
