Abstract

Este estudo perspetiva o desenvolvimento do portfolio docente enquanto estratégia avaliativa (formativa e sumativa), no âmbito da avaliação do desempenho docente (ADD). Do ponto de vista metodológico, o estudo foi desenvolvido segundo uma metodologia de natureza mista na medida em que recorreu a abordagens qualitativas e quantitativas para recolha, tratamento e análise de dados. Através de um inquérito por questionário recolheram-se opiniões de professores que desenvolveram um portfolio enquanto instrumento avaliativo do seu desempenho. Os resultados obtidos são consistentes com a literatura: o inconveniente mais apontado foi a falta de tempo e os benefícios mais referidos apontam o portfolio como (i) instrumento promotor de competências organizativas e (ii) capaz de salientar a importância da reflexão sobre as práticas e a importância da planificação da ação educativa. Constatou-se, ainda, que os professores não pretendem dar continuidade a esta estratégia no âmbito do seu desenvolvimento profissional. Admitem, contudo, partilhá-lo com os seus pares.

This study considers the use of teachersʼ portfolio as an evaluation strategy of Teachers Evaluation. Through a questionnaire survey we collected opinions of teachers who have used a portfolio as an instrument of their performance evaluation, The study used a mixed methodology, relying on qualitative and quantitative approaches for collecting, processing and analyzing data. The results are consistent with the literature: the most relevant inconvenient was the lack of time and the most referred benefits identify to the portfolio as (i) an instrument to promote organizational skills and (ii) the ability to highlight the importance of reflection on practice and planning of educational action. It was observed that teachers do not intend to continue using this strategy as part of their professional development. They admit, however, share it with their peers.
