Abstract

El curso de Desarrollo Excepcional es un curso electivo, de especialidad de la carrera de Psicología. Es de carácter teórico ¿ práctico y tiene como propósito que el alumno identifique las características básicas de los individuos con Necesidades Educativas Especiales; así como distinguir las diferentes estrategias de evaluación y diagnóstico y asesorar a dichos individuos y sus familias. De esta manera, se encuentra enfocado en el desarrollo de la competencia general de Pensamiento crítico y las competencias específicas de diagnóstico y fundamentos teóricos conceptuales. La práctica de aula incluye dinámicas de grupo, observación y análisis de videos seleccionados, discusión de lecturas, exposiciones. La práctica de campo considera visitas de observación a instituciones que brindan atención a personas con Necesidades Educativas Especiales y/o entrevistas a profesionales que laboren en esta área.
