Abstract

El curso contaminación y control de la calidad del suelo prioriza contenidos que permiten la argumentación sostenida de cómo la contaminación del suelo consiste en la acumulación de sustancias a unos niveles tales que repercuten negativamente en el comportamiento del mismo. Por ello el curso propone aspectos típicos y conceptuales asociados a las características físicas y químicas del suelo, fuentes de contaminación y reacciones presentes en él, dependiendo de los componentes a diferentes niveles de concentración, que son tóxicas para los organismos que viven en él y que genera degradación química que provoca la pérdida parcial o total de su productividad, afecte la biota edáfica, las plantas, la vida animal y la salud humana; asimismo entrega tópicos asociados a las tecnologías disponibles para su remediación. El curso Contaminación y control de la calidad del suelo está orientado a que el estudiante desarrolle competencias relacionadas con la resolución de problemas ambientales; a través del análisis del suelo, los procesos contaminantes y las tecnologías de restauración para potencializar sus propios aprendizajes y estrategias eficaces para su ejercicio profesional. El curso contribuye directamente al desarrollo de la competencia general Ciudadanía, nivel 2 y la competencia específica de experimentación a nivel 1. Los pre- requisitos para este curso son MA530 Química Ambiental y IG39 Geografía Física.
