Diseño de mezcla de concreto para fabricar semi-automáticamente bloques de mampostería a escala reducida 1/4

Abstract

Esta investigación busca calibrar la máquina semi-automática de bloques que se fabricó en el Laboratorio de Escala Reducida del Laboratorio Nacional de Materiales y Modelos Estructurales de la Universidad de Costa Rica (LanammeUCR). Se fabricó bloques a escala reducida 1/4 con distintos pares de % de agregado y relación agua/cemento en busca de diseños con una resistencia mayor a la establecida en el Código Sísmico de Costa Rica de 133 Kg/cm2 a los 28 días. Se elaboró un procedimiento de mezclado que genera una mezcla homogénea, además se definieron dos procedimientos de fabricación que permiten trabajar con distintos diseños de mezcla en los que se busca desmoldar en pocos minutos y que los bloques no se desplomen, al mismo tiempo que se llena bien todo el molde. Las variables mecánicas consideradas son la compresión y los segundos de vibrado, esto se explica detalladamente en cada procedimiento. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran que si es posible utilizar la máquina para producir bloques con resistencias muy superiores a la establecida en el Código. Que la cantidad de agregado aumenta la relación agua/cemento necesaria para una buena trabajabilidad. Se descubrió que la densidad del bloque y que sus paredes estén bien aplomadas influye en mayor grado que las variables del diseño de mezcla. Se descubrió que la configuración actual de los vibradores en la máquina perjudica a los bloques del medio ya que no consolida la mezcla en esa zona y por lo tanto existe diferencia en la capacidad de los bloques de los extremos y los del centro del molde.
