Abstract

Análisis del régimen electoral de los países de Centro América desde un marco jurídico comparativo que detalla similitudes y diferencias de cada uno de los sistemas electorales. Incluye dentro del estudio un detalle sobre el régimen electoral municipal con el objetivo de brindar un acercamiento integral a la temática. No obstante, no toma en cuenta las consultas populares o los mecanismos de democracia directa como referéndums y plebiscitos, debido a que en la región no abundan las experiencias en estas prácticas democráticas directas.
