Suministro de calostro con alimentador esofágico

Abstract

Por muchos años, se ha reconocido que el factor crítico para asegurar una adecuada absorción de inmunoglobulinas en terneras es la administración de una buena cantidad de calostro de calidad durante las primeras horas de vida. Sin embargo, algunas terneras no maman de la vaca y otras no son capaces de tomar calostro de un chupón o biberón. Por esta razón, el uso de un alimentador esofágico es una técnica de manejo que puede ser considerada para suministrarlo a aquellas que son débiles o que no quieran mamar.
