Producción de leche en ganado Jersey considerando diferentes especies forrajeras

Abstract

La nutrición de rumiantes involucra una serie de procesos químicos y físicos por los que el animal utiliza alimentos disponibles para mantener las funciones del cuerpo, crecer, reproducirse y producir un producto deseado. El ganado tiene cierto potencial genético heredado; sin embargo, que tan bien desarrolle dicho potencial depende del ambiente al que esté expuesto y la nutrición es un componente significativo de ese ambiente. Cuanto más se conozcan los principios que rigen la nutrición, estaremos en una mejor condición de alimentar más adecuadamente a los animales y así se podrá mejorar la producción de los mismos.
