Mastitis en novillas de primer parto

Abstract

La mastitis es un problema común en el ganado lechero que impacta significativamente los costos de cualquier explotación. Es de esperar que las novillas deberían estar libre de infecciones intramamarias a la hora del parto, ya que no han experimentado los rigores de los múltiples ordeños diarios y, por lo tanto, han tenido menor exposición a patógenos contagiosos que pueden ser transmitidos durante el ordeño.
