Abstract

Se describe en forma resumida la labor que se realizó para desarrollar un método integral, económico, eficiente y no contaminante de la plaga-enfermedad conocida por los agricultores como "bacteriosis del palmito". Este es un problema fitosanitario grave que sufren las plantaciones del palmito de pejibaye del sector norte de Costa Rica, así también está presente en otras regiones del continente que se extienden de Nicaragua hasta Bolivia
