Serum concentrations of lgG, IgA and IgM were determined in 49 healthy university students, aged 18 to 25, by radial irnmunodiffusion, using commercially available plates. Results were compared to normal values re ported in the literature. It was found that lgG levels in our sample were slightly higher, whereas IgA and lgM levels were similar to those reported in other countries. A brief discussion of curr ent techniques for immunoglobulin quantitation is included, as well as some comments on international efforts to standardize this determination.
