Se describe y compara el comportamiento durante el cortejo de Melittobia acasta (Walker), M. australica Girault, M. femorata Dahms y M. evansi Dahms. Se encontró diferencias significativas en duración, frecuencia y forma de realizar las diferentes actividades durante el cortejo, tanlo entre formas femeninas como entre las especies comparadas. Estas diferencias podrían ser usadas como un complemento a las características morfológicas en identificación de avispas del género.
Courtship behavior of Melinobia acasta (Walker) and M. australica Girault was described and compared to M. femorata Dahms and M. evansi Dahms, which had been previously studied. Significant differences on duration, frequency, and form of courtship phases among female morphs and species were found. Behavioral patteros are presented as complementary to morphological characteristics fór species identification.
