Se analiza la fertilidad iotra e interpoblacional de dos poblaciones mexicas y dos de la Bahía de San Francisco, de la especie Artemia franciscana. Los resultados muestran que las cepas mexicanas pertenecen a la misma especie. Toda la progenie F1 es fértil internamente, pero algunos híbridos F2 en la cual una variedad mexicana estaba implicada, muestran una baja resistencia a las infecciones bacterianas (Vibrio).
The fertility within and among two Mexican and two San Francisco Bay populations of Artemia franciscana was assayed. Mexican strains belong to the sarne species. The whole F1 is internally fertile, though sorne F2 hybrids, in which a Mexican variety was involved, showed a low resislence to Vibrio infections
