Abstract In the context of the development of megacities, this article explores the problems raised in cases such as Rugao in China and suggests, using the precepts of Landscape Urbanism, an urbanism tactic based on the premise that the benefit and utility of the project should not in any way be imposed on the territory. Tactic resistance requires not only challenging the massive production of exclusive urban transformation, but also developing a more complex understanding of the forces involved in the production of the urban through the opportunities that the landscape and its inhabitants can generate.
