Aplicación de la simulación en tiempo real al estudio de protecciones en sistemas eléctricos

Abstract

Los sistemas eléctricos de potencia generan, transmiten y distribuyen energía eléctrica, crucial para la vida cotidiana, por lo que es vital asegurar su operación confiable y continua. En la transmisión, las fallas más comunes son las de sobrecorriente, causadas por cortocircuitos debido a conexiones indeseadas. Para evitar daños, es esencial diseñar esquemas de protección adecuados, basados en la simulación del comportamiento del sistema ante fallas. Este trabajo utiliza el software Hypersim de OPAL-RT para modelar y simular redes eléctricas de prueba, evaluando sistemas de protección ante fallas en tres momentos: antes, durante y después de su despeje. Se simularon redes de cuatro y treinta y siete barras usando datos estándar del IEEE. Los resultados mostraron que es posible simular tensiones y corrientes con errores menores al 17%, observando sobrecorrientes, desfases y cambios en la tensión durante las fallas. Esto valida la activación de la protección y sienta las bases para futuras pruebas con dispositivos reales mediante la configuración "hardware-in-the-loop".
