Métrica de idoneidad de ontologías

Abstract

Esta Tesis Doctoral propone el método OntoMetric para ayudar a los usuarios a medir la idoneidad de las antologías existentes respecto a las necesidades de sus sistemas. Las principales aportaciones son: * Identificación de un marco multinivel de 160 características de ontologías, agrupadas en las dimensiones de "contenidos", "metodologías", "lenguajes", "entornos" y "costes". Este marco sirve para representar información de ontologías y como esquema para poder compararlas. * Construcción de la ontología Reference Ontology, basada en el marco multinivel de características, con instancias en las dimensiones del marco. * Elaboración de un método que ofrece una medida cuantitativa a cada una de las ontologías candidatas que pueden ser incorporadas a un sistema. El método utiliza: el marco multinivel de características, la Reference Ontolgy y sus instancias, y una adaptación del método de las jerarquías analíticas. * Construcción del soporte -- que asiste al método: - Onto Wappers: extraen información de ontologías existentes en servidores y páginas web de antologías. - Reference Ontology Instances Selector: selecciona las ontologías que cumplen ciertos requisitos indicados por el usuario. - OntoMetric Tool: obtiene, usando una adaptación del método de las jerarquías analíticas, las medidas de idoneidad para ontologías.
