Abstract

Al revisar las empresas más exitosas del mundo, las variables sobre los cuales se define el éxito se centran en los resultados económicos y financieros. El ranking de las mejores empresas del mundo, elaborado por la consultora A. T. Kearney en colaboración con la revista Business Week, registra las mejores empresas de acuerdo a las ventas y el nivel de expansión sostenido. Todo se reduce a un concepto de éxito desde un criterio de liderazgo en el mercado.No obstante, al buscar de una manera menos superficial el concepto que las personas tienen sobre una organización exitosa, es pertinente recurrir a otras miradas distintas al mero análisis financiero y mercantil. Estas miradas permitirían descubrir que quizás el mencionado éxito no es más que una pantalla para disimular situaciones de miseria, pobreza e injusticia social. Ante tal posibilidad, en este artículo se analizan las posturas teóricas de algunos autores que observan la realidad con criterios diversos al del mero capitalismo salvaje que envuelve a la sociedad actual.
