Diversidad alfa, beta y gamma en hongos de micorriza arbuscular (HMA) en el cultivo de banano (Musa Paradisiaca) en Colombia

Abstract

El banano es cultivado amplia e intensivamente en la región tropical, para su producción tradicional (monocultivo) se emplea un alto suministro de enmiendas químicas industriales, cuyos excesos contaminan el ambiente, alterando la biodiversidad, las poblaciones edáficas de microorganismos existentes y su función; algunos cultivadores han incorporado otras especies vegetales intercaladas en policultivos para reducir costos y tener una producción alterna, saludable y sin alto consumo de enmiendas químicas. Con el fin de evaluar el efecto del sistema de manejo (monocultivo vs policultivo), y de los factores edáficos sobre la riqueza y diversidad de hongos formadores de micorriza arbuscular (HMA) como componente edáfico de gran importancia, se muestrearon en Colombia plantaciones, en dos zonas de alta producción y manejadas en sistema monocultivo, en contraste con una zona de baja producción pero manejada en sistema de policultivo.
