Abstract

Investigative journalism is a very action of every social communicator - journalist, using different methods and techniques in the search for data to achieve deep addressing all the contents, taking into account standards and ethical principles provided by the Professional Code, which clearly defined rights and duties of the journalist and the functions of the press in society. The realization of this investigative report: Pedestrian Culture in the City of Villavicencio, results in the development of a large audio visual reportage. The report is mainly characterized by a highly communication tool, is one of the most complete genres, which absorb parts of other news media genres such as news, chronic, interview advice and comments. Which allows to give a more accurate view of the topic, reaching all the public without exception, raise awareness and achieve the main goal: to demonstrate the behavior of pedestrians with respect to the limited applicability of traffic rules in order that enhances the use of zebras and pedestrian bridges. According to sources of legal medicine in 2011, in terms of mortality rate per 100 thousand inhabitants, Villavicencio ranks sixth among the twenty-five cities most affected by deaths in Colombia, which states that in this city there are serious shortcomings in terms of culture vial, which has to be corrected to decrease these numbers of mortality.
