Los temas que han entrado en la agenda de la comunidad internacional durante las dos últimas décadas, han comprendido un sinfín de aspectos y problemáticas, entre los cuales se encentran: La pobreza mundial, las crisis ambientales, el narcotráfico y el terrorismo. Pero el tráfico de órganos y en especial en estas zonas de alta concentración de pobreza y países del tercer mundo (África) no ha sido prioritario dentro de dicha agenda, existen regulaciones y documentos que identifican y señalan dicho problema, pero no existen mecanismos reales y contundentes que pretendan dar un seguimiento y solución a este tipo de tráfico; Según los argumentos y datos que se desarrollan en este ensayo, se afirma que la causa principal es el poco reconocimiento del problema, es decir, un desinterés y desconocimiento interno en cada país y de la región de todos los aspectos que rodean al tráfico ilegal de órganos en el que internamente ni siquiera es un tema relevante, con miras a ser tratado y erradicado.
