El lavado de activos y los delitos conexos

Abstract

El lavado de activos se constituye en uno de los delitos de gran impacto l, por sus efectos económicos, sociales, de seguridad, desestabilización institucional y empresarial a nivel mundial, razón por la cual, los organismos como las Naciones Unidas, asumieron el liderazgo para combatirlo mediante la definición de estrategias y políticas de obligatorio cumplimiento por parte de los países miembros. En el caso Colombiano, los diferentes gobiernos han venido fortaleciendo la lucha contra este delito mediante la expedición de normas, creación de instituciones especializadas como la UIAF Unidad de Información y Análisis Financiero, la tipificación del delito de lavado de activos y su inclusión en el código penal, así como el fortalecimiento de instituciones como la DIAN, la Superintendencia Financiera y Policía Nacional con el fin de contar con instrumentos agiles para contrarrestar el accionar delictivo del lavado de activos y los delitos conexos.

The money laundering it constitutes a crime of great impact, for their economic, social, safety effects, institutional and business destabilization around the world, which is why, agencies as the United Nations, took the lead in combat by defining mandatory strategies and policies by the member countries. In Colombia, different governments have been strengthening the fight against this crime through the implementation of laws, creation of specialized institutions such as the UIAF Unit Financial Information and Analysis, the crime of money laundering and their inclusion in the criminal code, and the strengthening of institutions such as the DIAN, the Financial Supervisory Authority and National Police in order to have agile instruments to counter the criminal activities of money laundering and related crimes.
