Abstract

Este documento muestra el proceso llevado a cabo para lograr determinar las zonas aptas para ser intervenidas con procesos de restauración, teniendo en cuenta que fueron afectadas por fenómenos naturales como la sequía. Para la determinación de dichas áreas se trabajó a partir de imágenes de satélite de dos períodos distintos y de dos sensores distintos, a saber SPOT 5 y ALOS, sobre las cuales se determinaron índices diferenciales de vegetación normalizados (NDVI), índices de verdor visual (IVV) y el índice basado en los dos anteriores que se denominó índice de cambios, que representa las pérdidas, estabilidad o ganancias de la vegetación para los dos períodos, a partir de la actividad fotosintética, el vigor de la vegetación y sus respuestas en las bandas del rojo y del infrarrojo cercano para los sensores trabajados. El índice de cambio calculado efectivamente muestra un cambio en la vegetación predominante en la zona; a partir de éstos resultados se pueden derivar una serie de alternativas para mitigar las consecuencias de los fenómenos naturales como lo son: planes de restauración, cálculo de compensaciones, políticas públicas, etc.

This document show the process carried out to determine the suitable areas to be intervened with restoration processes, taking into account that this areas were affected by natural phenomena such as drought. For determining areas we worked from satelite images from two different periods and two different sensors such as SPOT 5 and ALOS, on which is determined normalized differences vegetation indexes (NDVI), visibles vegetation indexes (IVV) and the index base don the previous two was called change index, that shows the losses, stability or gain of vegetation for two periods from the photosynthetic activity, vegetation vigor, and the red ban and near infrared band answers for worked sensors. The change index calculate effectively shows a dominant vegetation change for the área; from these results can be derived so much alternatives to mitigate consequences of natural phenomena such as: restoration plans, compensation rates, public policies, etc.
