Liderazgo transformacional en la fuerza pública

Abstract

Ensuring the reintegration into civilian life of people who have served in the Colombian security forces requires attention due to the adaptation process they require. In this way, transformational leadership plays an important role in this process, since, through the creation of support networks and the promotion of entrepreneurship, the improvement of the quality of life and the success of integration into civilian life can be reflected, together with the integral wellbeing on which efforts should be focused. However, a critique of the limitations of the current programs is presented and it is intended to offer strategies for improvement in terms of personalized, sustainable and innovative approaches to transformational leadership. This is carried out through a qualitative study approach based on the responses of a selected sample of retired uniformed members of the public force. It should be noted that the main challenges in the process of rebuilding support networks and professional reorientation are identified, it is convenient to focus efforts on the study of organizational skills that must be acquired at the time of separation. In short, a critical view of the impact of transformational leadership on reintegration into civilian life will be obtained, as well as highlighting both its benefits and areas of opportunity for future programs and policies to be implemented within the organization.
