Abstract

In the contemporary digital age, social media has revolutionized the way we interact, share information and shape our perspectives on a variety of topics, including fitness, understood by its Anglo-Saxon etymology, which translated from English means “to be in good shape.” shape". Thus, the word fitness refers to physical activities that are carried out regularly with the purpose of improving or maintaining the body in good health conditions. Along with the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in society, it is has been associated from various perspectives, including education, with the phenomenon of dehumanization. This concept arises from the perception that machines and devices have interfered with human interactions, leading to the isolation of people and their constant dependence on mobile devices or multiple screens connected to various sources of content. According to several studies, the constant connection with the world through the Internet has led to the idea that the network society or knowledge society is the main cause of dehumanization. At the same time, there are arguments supporting the notion that dehumanization is a consequence of human interaction with technology, rather than a direct result of the technologies themselves.
