Land ownership in Colombia is threatened by the benefits that the indigenous councils currently have, these benefits that are reflected in the Colombian Political Constitution and that each time by complacency of executive and legislative power. These privileges of the indigenous population were given thanks to the Colombian Political Constitution from 1991, which go against the general rights of the Colombian population, among them, preferential right to land, transfers from the nation, budgetary autonomy, autonomy in education, health and organization, generating an economic and social conflict. These indigenous communities, through concerted acts of force and protected by indigenous legislation, carry out actions that violate private property and affect the legal security of the owners of properties in the Department of Cauca and, in turn, affect the regional economy.
