Abstract

Historically, gender inequality has been strongly marked in different educational, labor, religious, sexual, health, economic, and political spheres, among others. However, over the years, in some regions of the world the concept of gender equity has been advancing and improving in favor of the development of women, mitigating the misogynistic and discriminatory behavior of the State and society. One of the most important issues today consists of the existing salary comparisons between men and women, that is, the gender wage gap. This is a situation that knocks on the door every day, where knowledge of the reality of this gap is fundamental for the creation of gender equity policies in this field for the different countries. These analyzes are supported by the study of demographic data, segmented into different groups, such as age, social, regional, among others; where the salary gap between men and women is analyzed, based on the salaries earned in the different levels of employment.
