Abstract

This essay wants to demonstrate how the Brigade of Humanitarian Demining Engineers of the National Army has fulfilled the main purpose of "SAVING LIVES", by freeing territories from contamination from both Antipersonnel Mines (APM), Unexploded Used Munitions (UXO) and Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), but also how it has contributed to the social progress, economic and sustainable of the affected communities and in the conservation of the environment.
