Abstract

The gain in resistance affects the dimensioning of the pavement structures and the thickness of the asphalt, base and sub-base layers in their final cost. According to the above, the analysis of the resistance gains obtained by means of CBR tests is carried out, data extracted from the document "Variation of the mechanical properties of compressible clayey soils stabilized with cementing material" (Luis Gómez, 2016) in which carried out some analyzes of a soil of silt-clayey material with orange-brown sands of high plasticity (MH) according to the SUCS, A-7-5(20) according to the AASHTO, to which percentages of Cal and Cement that for this study we focus on the values of 3%, 4%, 5% and 6% for each cementitious material. The CBR values obtained from the study consulted in the literature were used as the basis for obtaining the Resilience Modulus, which from now on will be Mr, of the subgrades through the correlations recommended by the "Design Manual for Flexible Pavements for Low Volumes". ” (INVIAS, 2007), and estimated traffic volumes of 2,000,000 equivalent axles in order to observe the behavior of the design data for this case. According to these traffic volumes, the values of allowable tensile strain on the asphalt layer and allowable vertical strain were determined; on the granular layers and proceeded to model the pavement structures in the Kenpave software, according to each of the Mr values obtained from the treated subgrades, to then carry out the economic analysis based on the design results.
