Abstract

El fraude en el sector financiero siempre ha sido un problema para las diferentes entidades tanto públicas como privadas, cada vez que se detecta un fraude en muchos de los casos, las personas que intervienen en dicho fraude, tienen algún vínculo en los procesos de la compañía, las Aseguradoras no han sido la excepción, siempre se han visto envueltas en algún fraude debido a sus operaciones y la variedad de coberturas que manejan en los ramos tanto vida como generales, más aún durante la pandemia Covid-19 ha presentado un aumento en fraudes debido a la falta y fallas de controles que no se habían contemplado al entrar a una nueva modalidad laboral donde se hace uso de herramientas tecnológicas. De este modo la importancia de la auditoria forense permitirá identificar, analizar y generar estrategias que permita mitigar los riesgos de fraude por medios electrónicos en las compañías Aseguradoras.

Fraud in the financial sector has always been a problem for different entities both public and private, every time a fraud is detected in many cases, the people involved in such fraud, have some link in the processes of the company, insurers have not been the exception, They have always been involved in some fraud due to their operations and the variety of coverages they handle in both life and general lines, even more so during the Covid-19 pandemic there has been an increase in fraud due to the lack and failure of controls that had not been contemplated when entering a new work mode where technological tools are used. Thus, the importance of forensic auditing will allow to identify, analyze, generate strategies to mitigate the risks of fraud by electronic means in insurance companies.
