Abstract

Esta investigación evalúa la viabilidad técnica y económica que tiene incluir gránulos de caucho reciclados en pavimentos de asfalto para el mejoramiento de las carreteras terciarias del municipio de Pesca-Boyacá, teniendo en cuenta que es posible reciclar y reutilizar el caucho, pues es un material que se encuentra presente en productos de uso diario como las llantas, las alfombras, los recubrimientos de cables, las piezas mecánicas, el calzado, entre otros. En efecto, al tener en cuenta la vida útil del pavimento y la disminución de los costos de mantenimiento, se hace necesario estudiar la incorporación del caucho de las llantas en la composición de capas de asfalto pavimentado de una manera eficaz, técnica y económicamente viable. Dicho lo anterior, para el desarrollo del proceso investigativo se establecen tres etapas. En primer lugar, la revisión de los antecedentes de las investigaciones realizadas previamente sobre el tema. En segundo lugar, la realización del trabajo exploratorio de campo fundamentado en los estudios topográficos, el diseño geométrico y los laboratorios. Por último, el análisis de los aspectos técnicos y económicos precisados con el uso de mezclas asfálticas modificadas con GCR. This research evaluates the technical and economic feasibility of including recycled rubber granules in asphalt pavements for the improvement of the tertiary roads of the municipality of Pesca-Boyacá, taking into account that it is possible to recycle and reuse rubber, since it is a material that It is present in products of daily use such as tires, carpets, cable coatings, mechanical parts, footwear, among others. Indeed, when taking into account the useful life of the pavement and the reduction in maintenance costs, it is necessary to study the incorporation of tire rubber in the composition of paved asphalt layers in an efficient, technical and economically viable way. That said, for the development of the investigative process, three stages were carried out. In the first place, the review of the background of the research previously carried out on the subject. Second, the realization of exploratory field work based on topographic studies, geometric design and laboratories.
