Los efectos de las barreras institucionales en la representación política de los partidos minoritarios en Colombia (2003-2020)

Abstract

En el presente trabajo, se pretende exponer los efectos institucionales producto de la reforma política de 2003 y demás barreras de acceso a cargos públicos por parte de los partidos minoritarios en Colombia, fenómeno que se presenta principalmente en los distritos binominales en la Cámara de Representantes, a su vez se analizará el comportamiento de los partidos políticos en las elecciones legislativas y las estrategias que utilizan para sobrevivir en el juego político, con el propósito de evidenciar el efecto mayoritario y la crisis de representación política en el sistema de partidos.

In this paper, it is intended to expose the institutional effects of the political reform of 2003 and other barriers to access to public office by minority parties in Colombia, a phenomenon that occurs mainly in binominal districts in the House of Representatives, At the same time, the behavior of political parties in legislative elections and the strategies they use to survive in the political game will be analyzed, in order to show the majority effect and the crisis of political representation in the party system.
