El documento trata sobre la notificación consular, como base de los requisitos estipulados por la Convención de Viena y uno de los derechos a los que tienen las personas, en calidad de migrante; al momento de encontrarse en problemas de orden judicial en un país ajeno. Los objetivos del estudio, son: determinar si este protocolo de notificación se está cumpliendo en Colombia, evidenciar si las leyes del país lo contemplan y de ser así, comprobar si se está llevando a cabo en relación con los migrantes venezolanos que han ingresado al país, en los últimos años, producto del fenómeno de desplazados que desde esa nación se viene presentando.
