Abstract

(Dirección, 2017) Thanatopraxia is an activity that includes a set of procedures, where the biological risk derived from the handling of corpses is presented to a greater extent. The possibility of contracting serious infectious pathologies, produced by punctures with suture needles, frequent exposure to body fluids from corpses, splashes and contamination due to the inappropriate disposal of infectious waste, are factors that generally have a very high level of exposure, For this reason, it is considered a high-risk activity that can generate a series of “diseases such as hepatitis B and C, tetanus, HIV and COVID-19, in the health of workers in the thanatopraxia area,” among other.
